I thought that they did an amazing job bringing this story to life. Granted, it's been 2-3 years since I last read The Lion, The Witch & The Wardrobe, but the filmed captured the wonder that I felt from reading the books at discovering Narnia. The animation team did such an amazing job creating all of the fantasitcal creatures - from fawns to centaurs to all of the talking animals, including Aslan himself.
I seemed to have tears in my eyes throughout most of the film. Either from joy, wonder, or sadness - even during the great battle because I was so proud of the boys for stepping up. (Perhaps that's why I woke with a wicked sinus headache this morning - used the tear ducts too much last night.)
ETA: I remembered one thing that was a little off with the film when I was talking about it at Curves this morning. The White Witch didn't feel... evil enough. Don't get me wrong, the actress was wonderful, but the character came off more as just "cold" rather than "evil".
This is a must-buy when it comes out on DVD.
